Reserving Your Time We want to ensure your wellness routine is as seamless as possible. By booking your Acupuncture, Massage, or Herbal consultations in advance, you can secure the time slots that best serve your schedule. Should you need to cancel or make changes, we kindly ask for as much notice as you can provide. This helps us keep our practice flowing smoothly for everyone. Not sure when your next visit is? We’re only a phone call away. 717-832-4111
Our Commitment to Your Time
At Live Well Medicine, we believe in providing our undivided attention. We never double-book because we value the deep, face-to-face time between you and your practitioner.
Because we reserve a significant portion of our day specifically for your care, we kindly ask for your partnership in honoring our schedule. When an appointment is missed without notice, it impacts our practitioners’ ability to serve our community.
Our Cancellation Policy To support the sustainability of our practice and the livelihoods of our dedicated team, we maintain a 24-hour cancellation policy. We understand that personal or work conflicts arise, but please note that our policy applies to all cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice.
- Acupuncture: $35 for follow-ups / $75 for New Patient visits.
- Payment: For your convenience, we keep a secure payment method on file to handle these instances seamlessly.
Avoiding a Fee: The “Gift of Health” Option If you find yourself unable to make your appointment at the last minute, you are welcome to send a friend or family member in your place. This is a wonderful way to avoid a fee while sharing the gift of wellness with a loved one.
- For Acupuncture: If your substitute is a new patient, they will receive a 45-minute intake to establish care (treatment included if time allows). Established patients will receive a full follow-up session.
If you are sending a substitute, please just let us know! We ask that new guests arrive 15 minutes early to complete their paperwork.
Insurance & Payment Options
We believe that high-quality care should be accessible and transparent. To support our community, we participate with most major insurance plans and are deeply proud to serve those who served as a Veteran Affairs Community Care Provider.
Flexible Ways to Pay For your convenience, we accept cash, personal checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and HSA (Health Savings Account) Cards. We ask that all payments be completed at the time of your visit so we can focus entirely on your clinical care during your session.
For our Self-Pay Acupuncture Clients, (when not submitting to any insurance) we offer a “Prompt Pay” Benefit as a thank you. For your courtesy in settling your account at the time of service, we are pleased to offer a 15% Prompt Pay Discount. It’s our way of making your wellness routine even more sustainable.
HSA & FSA Cards are fine with us! We are happy to accept payment by HSA or FSA cards. While HSA & FSA Cards can generally be used to pay for services at our office, you may wish to check with your benefits provider to see if any restrictions apply.
Insurance Some clients have an insurance benefit that will pay for acupuncture when administered for certain pain conditions. For those clients, we are happy to work with your insurance coverage.
This office uses sterile, disposable needles.
Preparing for Your Session
To help us provide the most effective treatment and to ensure your absolute comfort, we recommend the following preparations for your visit:
- Mindful Nourishment: In Chinese Medicine, the tongue provides vital information about your internal health. To ensure an accurate reading, please avoid food or drinks that might stain your tongue (such as coffee, colorful juices, or candy) for at least one hour before you arrive.
- Comfortable Attire: Your session may involve palpation or treatment of various areas of the body. We suggest wearing loose, comfortable clothing. We always provide professional draping to ensure your modesty and warmth are fully protected.
- A Scent-Free Space: To maintain a healing environment for all—especially those with sensitivities—we kindly ask that you refrain from wearing perfumes, colognes, or strongly scented oils and lotions on the day of your visit.
- Simplicity is Best: We recommend leaving excessive jewelry at home, as certain metals can occasionally interfere with the flow and efficacy of your therapy.
Your Right to Transparency: The Good Faith Estimate
At Live Well Medicine, we believe that peace of mind is an essential part of healing. We are committed to financial transparency so you can focus entirely on your wellness.
What is a Good Faith Estimate? Under the law, healthcare providers are required to give patients who do not have insurance (or who are not using insurance) an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. This is known as a Good Faith Estimate (GFE).
How We Provide Your Estimate:
- Personalized for You: While you may request an estimate at any time, we recommend waiting until after your first visit. This allows your acupuncturist to fully assess your needs and provide the most accurate roadmap for your care.
- Timely Information: If you would like an estimate prior to a scheduled appointment, we will provide it within three business days of your request (or within one business day if the service is already scheduled).
- Consistent Care: Your estimate is based on the information known at the time it is created and does not include unknown or unexpected costs that may arise as your treatment progresses.
Your Rights & Protections: We encourage you to save a copy or photo of your Good Faith Estimate. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your estimate, you have the right to dispute the charges.
For more detailed information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate or the dispute process, please visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or contact our office directly at 717-832-4111. We are always happy to answer your questions.
